Clip From Steve Austin's New Movie "The Package"

The following video is an exclusive clip from the upcoming Steve Austin movie, "The Package." Below the clip are more details behind the movie, including a synopsis and release date information.

THE PACKAGE

Beware of The German!
Coming to Blu-ray™/DVD Combo Pack and DVD February 19th
BEVERLY HILLS, CA – Unrelenting action is the order of the day when superstars Steve Austin (The Expendables, Maximum Conviction) and Dolph Lundgren (The Expendables II, One In The Chamber) burn up the screen in Anchor Bay Films’ bone-crunching action epic The Package, coming to Blu-ray™/DVD Combo Pack and DVD February 19th. SRP is $29.99 for the Blu-ray™/DVD Combo Pack and $26.98 for the DVD, with pre-book on January 23rd.
Directed by Jesse V. Johnson and written by Derek Kolstad, The Package features Austin as Tommy Wick, a nightclub bouncer and enforcer for Seattle crime boss Big Doug (Eric Keenleyside, Dreamcatcher, Firewall). When Big Doug instructs Tommy to hand-deliver a secret package to the mysterious international crime lord “The German,” (Lundgren), he does so with the hopes that Big Doug will forgive the debt Tommy’s brother Eddie (Lochlyn Munroe, White Chicks, Freddy vs. Jason) owes.
Word of the clandestine delivery spreads and soon “the package” – and those who carry it – becomes the target of rival gang leader Anthony (Michael Daingerfield, The Messengers). Anthony will stop at nothing to ensure its capture. Facing incredible odds, Tommy races against the ticking clock – and a small army of hit men, mercenaries, assassins and sadists -- to complete delivery. But does The German have other ideas about what to do with the package?

“Ricky and I love the fact that our family followed us into wrestling and love it as much as we do. We are especially proud that they have made a living out of the job and that they have excelled too. I was there when Britani (Paige) was told. It was amazing, she was bouncing off the walls. We as a family were buzzing for her, but inside we all knew we would have to lose her to the States. We knew she was going to be huge and are so proud. Why CM Punk Won’t Retain at The Rumble, Another Rumble Entrant, Flair, Ziggler

- Right after Monday’s RAW, Dolph Ziggler will be flying to Australia to do promotional work for WWE.

- The Miz revealed on this week’s episode of WWE Main Event that he will be in the 30-man Royal Rumble match.

- We noted before that WWE officials had discussions about CM Punk retaining the WWE Title against The Rock at the Royal Rumble and then have Rock win it at Elimination Chamber. F4Wonline.com notes that since Rock swore to God on RAW that he would beat Punk at the Rumble, the idea of Punk retaining was likely nixed. It’s not a hard and fast rule but usually if a babyface guarantees or swears to God that he will win, he wins.

Why WWE Made Alberto Del Rio The World Champion, Issues With Big Show's Contract

There's been a lot of speculation as to why Alberto Del Rio was made World Heavyweight Champion, but the real story behind the scenes is that Big Show could not come to terms with WWE on a new contract. Since Big Show's contract was running out, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon made the decision to crown Del Rio the new champion. At the time of the taping in Miami, that was actually considered potentially to be Big Show's last match in WWE. Later in the week, the company and Big Show came to terms, and he hasn't missed any shows.

We heard from one source on the writing team that the company was very angry the negotiations went all the way to the breaking point, but now that Del Rio has been crowned champion "the plans have changed, as Del Rio is the focus of the show going forward."

Backstage News On Ric Flair's WWE Status, TNA Trying To Get Flair Back?, More

Ric Flair is currently booked for the January 21st WWE RAW from San Jose, California and the January 22nd SmackDown tapings in Sacramento. The Rock is also booked for those two shows. Flair will leave for All Japan Pro Wrestling right after the SmackDown tapings.

The Wrestling Observer reports that Flair is still working on a per-night deal with WWE but could be signing something more solid soon. According to the report, TNA has sent feelers to Flair about coming back to their company and apparently they have been doing this since before their lawsuit against WWE was dropped this week.

Regarding Flair's segment with The Miz on Monday's RAW, it was designed to endorse Miz as a new babyface and to set up Miz using the Figure Four as his new finishing move. When he found out, Flair joked to Miz, "I hope they let you beat people with it because I never did."

Flair will likely be working with Miz again at next week's WWE TV tapings

Why Kaitlyn Vs. Eve Torres Was Moved To RAW, Brian Gewirtz Happy To Be Back To Work

- We noted before how Kaitlyn vs. Eve Torres for the WWE Divas Title was going to take place at the Royal Rumble but it was moved up to this past Monday's RAW in Houston. Eve wanted Kaitlyn's Divas Title win to come in Houston because it's Kaitlyn's hometown.

- Since The Rock has returned, Brian Gewirtz is back into relevance. One source noted that Gewirtz was very happy to be part of things since he has still been on the payroll but not had any input. Gewirtz is The Rock's writer so he would be heavily involved in coming up with ideas for Rock's segments.

Backstage News On Why Dolph Ziggler May Be Turning Babyface Soon

The Wrestling Observer reports that here has been a lot of internal talk about Dolph Ziggler's future lately.

As noted, officials have discussed breaking Big E Langston away from Ziggler and AJ Lee but it sounds like he might stay with AJ. They are discussing this not because of a possible Langston face turn but because of a Ziggler babyface turn.

Vince McMahon has been changing his mind back and forth on Ziggler as a babyface but it's more when and not if. A lot of people in the company feel that Ziggler will take off huge as a babyface when the call is made. The fact that Ziggler is already popular in the New York market is said to be influencing Vince's decision.

WWE Offers A New Contract To Brock Lesnar, Why He Likely Won't Wrestle Undertaker

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

WWE officials have offered Brock Lesnar a new contract. They want him locked in for another year before WrestleMania. It's believed the new deal is similar to the deal he signed last year - several million dollars, a few major pay-per-view events and the TV shows building up to those events.

Lesnar has not signed the deal and probably won't sign any time soon because that's how he operates, likely negotiating until the end. Some within WWE are under the impression that he's in the creative plans for after WrestleMania 29.

Regarding a potential Lesnar vs. The Undertaker match, a source noted that Taker is really hurting bad and since Lesnar works a very physical style, officials are very leery of ever doing that match.

Script Reveals WWE Royal Rumble Layout, Vickie Guerrero Responds To The Rock

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

- Vickie Guerrero continues to tweet about The Rock's RAW promo about her:

"Call me whatever you will, like Biatch...BUT remember this...I am the BIATCH IN CHARGE". #BIC. #TheRock. #WWE"

- The current layout for WWE's Royal Rumble pay-per-view has a Rumble qualifying match planned for the YouTube pre-show, a Divas Title match that has not been determined yet, Kane and Daniel Bryan vs. Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow, Big Show vs. Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk vs. The Rock and the 30-man Rumble match.

A timed out script shows the Divas match for 10 minutes, the Tag Team Title match for 10 minutes, the World Heavyweight Title match for 20 minutes, the WWE Title match for 30 minutes and the Rumble main event set for 70 minutes total. These times include intros, the match itself and post-match happenings.

The script does not have winners or Rumble entrants at this point but does show that no other matches are scheduled such as The Miz vs. Antonio Cesaro.

Superstar Billy Graham Responds To Chris Jericho's Comment, Says He's A Mark For Triple H

We noted before how WWE Legend Superstar Billy Graham lashed out at CM Punk online for his promo on RAW a few weeks back where he mentioned Bruno Sammartino. Chris Jericho chimed in and told Graham to shut up, calling him a mark.

Graham has replied to Jericho:

Mr. Jericho Sir,

I won't say Dear Chris because I know you hate me with the utter most hatred.

Addressing your quote about me, "And stop being such a mark" The truth is, I believe everyone is a mark for someone or something at some point in their life. For instance, I am a total mark for Bob Dylan. The man has written over 600 songs and I saw him in person here in Phoenix last year. He had never sounded better at the age of 70! Fans are marks for the upcoming Super Bowl, The World Series, The NBA championship playoffs, and Nascar to name just a few examples.

In pro wrestling I am a mark for Triple H and proud to admit it for numerous reasons. He had a great hard earned physique, he had enormous charisma and an in ring presence that was unmatched. I remember sitting on the front row at a PPV here in Phoenix and his opponent gave him a sling shot into the post. I had my eyes fixed on him because I was curious about how he was going to do the blade job. As soon as his head hit the post he started bleeding, I did not see him cut himself and he was right in front of me, just a few feet away! Back in the locker room we were sitting next to each other and I asked him, "Brother, how did you cut your head, as you started bleeding immediately?" He said, " Superstar, I cut my head right before it hit the post." I marked out at that very moment, what a pro that man was and still could be if he wanted to be.

In closing I hope that answers your statement to me regarding "being such a mark." And your quote to me about "Shutting the hell up" I won't even address that because what I do best is CUT PROMOS!!!
